As I was getting ready for work this morning, I was taken back to last spring. Last spring as we were finishing our adoption paperwork, we found Children's Hopechest. After reading through their website, my husband and I decided to start giving monthly to the Kolfe Youth Orphanage. I knew from being a youth leader and intern that these boys may not ever be adopted and their needs were great. Their facility was pretty bad to say the least. As the months went by, I felt God pressing my heart for these boys. I threw a few pieces of jewelry up on etsy and they sold right away. The summer grew closer and I felt that I needed another product to earn money for the boys. Before vacation in June, I painted a few paintings and posted them on etsy again. They sold right away. I can't believe that J Studio is close to the $750 mark in donations to Kolfe since April 09. I can't believe that God is using me.
The Olivet Lutheran Church has sponsored the Kolfe Boys and they are going to have a few fundraising parties with my art from J Studio. I'm so excited to join this church in their heart for these young men. During these small group parties, they also hope to have a few more of the boys sponsored. I'm working on a new painting for these events. So, if you pray....pray. If you're not one for prayer... think some good thoughts.

So thrilled that you have responded to God's call so faithfully. What a blessing you are to the boys of Kolfe...and they don't even know you! Praying your art parties go well and peoples hearts are opened.
